AVG will likely work fine if you have all other drivers up-to-date and no other security systems installed and running alongside. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: netw5s64.sys (Intelยฎ Wireless WiFi Link Driver, Intel Corporation). Thanks for posting back with the outcome. In these cases I get the event ID 5010 referring to NETw5s64 in my in my Event Log. Likewise RAMMon. Ran it for almost 12 hours with continuous DLing in the background and no BSOD !!

Did you run it as Administrator? It's been happening ever since the first Win7 RC dropped, so it's not as if it's exactly a new problem either. The download center did say that the latest driver was for IT admin and not for home, but I couldn't find the home version. I figured that would have fixed it. Hoping someone can help out.
