The errors we got were error code OFOO:0244 msg block 91820: uncorrectable data error or media is write protected. I also ran the dell diagnostics and got an error, but I don't recall the code. cannot reload orperating system disks. I am wondering, do you have any tip for that?
My son has a 1501 and the warrenty is out. have a peek at these guys trying it now.............. I followed your instructions to a tee and still got the same error. if i remove the disk it comes up with an error that i should push f1.

It worked. I donâ€™t know much about DELL, I have an HP and during setup for the first time I was required to make recovery disks. I tried to follow the same steps as above, but they did not work as they were for the Windows XP disc!! In the BIOS screen you'lll need to find the option to set your boot configuration, a list of drives / devices that are checked in order when your computer boots up
continued Hi, I don't believe this is a virus and I run Spyware Doctor and Registry Mechanic as well as Virus scan from Avast. When I put in an XP CD, it goes directly to a blue screen with list of partitions and unpartitions information asking me to install XP on my C drive.
